"Everything You Need To Know About NECA and Your Labor Agreements"
The course instructors will include the entire Labor Relations staff of the Chapter.
This seminar will provide a history of NECA and the services it offers to you, your company and employees. Review the standard provisions of the agreements under which you are working. Cover the provisions governing CIR, grievance procedures, employer and union rights, bonding, wages and hours, steward and foreman language, portability, overtime, holidays and shift language provisions, apprentice ratios, travel time, referral procedure, fringe benefit obligations and safety requirements. Also provide an overview of the Trust Funds and the working of our market recovery programs.
"NECA...Who We Are and What It Takes To Be A Successful Contractor"
This seminar will educate our apprentices and future journeymen on the history of NECA and the contractor's view of the issues impacting our industry.
These issues include the impact of productivity on profitability of a job, the costs of bidding projects, the total burden costs to the employer, how worker attitudes impact the customer's perception of the contractor, the razor-thin profit margins on jobs due to intense competition and the slow pay or "no-pay" of owners and general contractors.
